    • Adversaries leverage ICE to automatically negotiate connectivity, bypass NAT restrictions, and establish resilient communication channels.

  • Universal Plug and Play (UPnP):

    • Attackers exploit UPnP protocols exposed by NAT devices to dynamically open ports and establish persistent external access.

    • UPnP exploitation allows attackers to bypass firewall rules and NAT security policies, gaining direct inbound connections to compromised internal hosts.

  • UDP/TCP Hole Punching:

    • Attackers initiate outbound connections from internal systems behind NAT devices to external hosts, creating temporary firewall and NAT entries.

    • These temporary entries allow adversaries to establish reverse connections back into internal networks, bypassing traditional inbound firewall rules.
